CLEAN ENVIRONMENT
The Kleszczewo commune takes care of the natural environment. In recent years considerable expenditure has been incurred on air protection as well as on sewage treatment and waste disposal.
Within the commune a gas supply system has been built and all public facilities have been equipped with environmentally friendly gas boiler rooms
The sanitary sewage system along with sewage treatment plants are systematically extended.
In recent years considerable emphasis has been put on proper treatment of solid waste. All households have access to the waste collection system, including the option of collecting recyclable materials such as glass (clear and coloured separately), waste paper and plastics. In the villages of the commune there are also collective containers for rubbish. As a result of cooperation among three communes, that is Kleszczewo, Kostrzyn and Swarzędz, a landfill site in Rabowice (Swarzędz commune) has been created.
The commune landscape is dominated by agricultural areas. Business activity has been carried out by small craftsman’s workshops. Works which are currently established within the area of the commune must meet requirements provided by law and must be environmentally-friendly. According to the provision of the commune land development plan, 30% of each plot intended for business activity must be compulsorily designed for the green area.
